Case Credit- Mollie Clark, Hannah Walsh (Sheffield)
A 32-year-old female patient presented with a fluctuant lump in the submandibular region of the left neck. Ultrasound and MRI were suggestive of a cystic lesion or necrotic lymph node. A well-defined cystic lesion was seen in level II and the ultrasound showed a hypoechoic lesion with limited vascularity.
Following an inadequate and non-diagnostic needle core biopsy, the patient underwent an excision of this cyst.
